Basically, shanpon wait is superior to kanchan.

In this case, Kanchan wait  of 3m is 4 tile, and shanpon wait of 2m and 3s are 4 tile, it is square.

Difference is possibility of making "trick Riichi".

If you draw 5m or 6s after call for Riichi, this hand chage to "trick Riichi" .

But if you want to make trick Riichi when you wait Kanchan, you have to draw only one tile in this case it it 6m .

Therefore, if you have already discarded 6m, discarding 2m and waiting 2m is superior in this hand.
