This is relatively strong method.

In the rule of including red Dora,  expected value of waiting 5 is a little bit higher than others.

Even with that, winning rate of this trick is strong statistically.

Especially, It's even more effective when used for following Riichi.

The players who don't have safety tile will discard, and it is too difficult to have common safety tile for multi player.

But one before for ready hand of 7 pairs is long and difficult road to ready hand.

It accept only 9 tiles.

Especially, all of the left tiles are from 3 to 5 ; 3m, 5m, 5p (Dora indicator tile).

If most tile of your hand are 2~8, you should look to all simples without hesitation.
