Since 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 make a 2, 5,  8 ; triple-sided wait, it is more advantageous to keep 7m than 7p in terms of the number of tiles to be accepted.

Basically, in mahjong, isolated tiles are weak and it is more advantageous to have a sequence of them.
